SHEPHERD'S PIE 
1 1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
1 lb. onion
Garlic powder
5 med. white potatoes
1/4 c. sour cream or substitute
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas

Dice onion. Combine onion and ground beef and place in an 8 inch baking dish, either round or square. Place meat mixture in 400 degree oven for 10 minutes or until meat is cooked. Remove pan from oven and carefully drain off fat.

Meanwhile, boil potatoes until soft. Mash potatoes and add sour cream and salt and pepper to taste.

Add frozen peas to the potato mixture. Spoon the potato mixture on top of the meat. Sprinkle with parsley flakes and return to oven to bake until top of pie is lightly browned.

Yield - 6 servings.

NOTE: This can be made the day before and refrigerated after putting the potatoes on top of the meat mixture. When ready, place in oven for about 30 minutes and serve.
