GERMAN BRAISED PORK CHOPS WITH
ONIONS
 
8 pork chops, cut 1/2" thick & pounded lightly
3 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. sliced onions
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Trim the fat from the chops. Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the chops and onions. Cook over medium heat until chops are browned on both sides.

Season with the salt and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat 25 minutes. Add a tablespoon of boiling water from time to time, if necessary to keep the chops from burning.
