ORIENTAL CHICKEN 
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut up
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drain
1 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods
2 tsp. soy sauce

Brown chicken pieces with small amount of oil over medium heat. Transfer to crock pot. Add broth, lemon juice, onion, salt and pepper. Cover and slow cook 6-8 hours. Remove chicken and increase heat. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Thicken with cornstarch. Pour over chicken or serve with chicken in pot.
