1 German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. chocolate chips

Mix cake according to directions on box. Fill muffin pans with cupcake liners 1/2 to 2/3 full. Blend cream cheese, egg, sugar and chocolate chips together and drop by teaspoonsful into unbaked cupcakes. Add just enough cake batter to cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Frost if desired.
