FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail

Mix all ingredients together and bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes 2 (8 or 9-inch) layers.

FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE FROSTING:

1 sm. can cream
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. pecans
1/4 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Add 1 can cream, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons butter. Bring to a boil, then boil for 5 minutes. Remove from fire, add 1/4 cup pecans, 1/4 cup coconut, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour frosting over cake while cake is still hot.
