1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. sherry or water 1 garlic clove 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. sugar 1/4 c. parsley, minced 1 lb. raw shrimp, shelled and deveined Parmesan cheese Rice Melt butter in a shallow pan over low heat. Add Worcestershire sauce, sherry, garlic, lemon juice and sugar. Mix well. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in a baking dish. Spoon sauce over shrimp and broil at 7-9 inches from heat for 8 minutes. Remove from broiler and let stand 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and broil at high heat for 3 minutes. Spoon over hot rice, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve. Garnish with parsley. |
