Slice sausage and add to skillet; cook until almost done. Meanwhile, chop the onion, apples, and sauerkraut. Saute in a separate pan until lightly golden. Add the hash browns.

When hash browns turn a golden color, add onion, apples, and sauerkraut.

Cook to desired doneness, making sure that the sausage is fully cooked and juices no longer run pink.
