HONEY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD | |
3 c. hot water 2 tbsp. dry yeast (or 2 pkgs.) 1 tsp. honey 1/2 c. salad oil 1/2 c. honey 1 tbsp. salt 6 c. whole wheat flour 2 c. bread flour Dissolve yeast in hot water and 1 teaspoon honey. Add oil, 1/2 cup honey, salt, 4 cups whole wheat flour and beat well with mixer to get the glutton stronger. Add remaining flour. Knead briefly. Use oil instead of flour and shape into 3 loaves. Place in greased pans. Oil tops and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise 35 minutes until 2/3 larger than original size. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
