WHOLE WHEAT HONEY BREAD 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. milk, scalded
2 tbsp. honey
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter, softened
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 - 2 1/2 c. sifted white flour

Mix yeast with water; let stand. Blend milk, honey, and salt in large bowl; cool. Mix in butter and whole wheat flour; add half of white flour; beat until smooth. Add more flour until dough is quite stiff and leaves sides of bowl.

Turn onto lightly floured board and knead 5 minutes. Place in lightly greased bowl, turning once. Cover and let rise in warm place about 1 hour or until dent remains when finger is pressed deep into side of dough.

Punch dough down. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Shape into loaf and place in lightly greased bread pan.
