Cook the hamburger ahead and freeze. Then place frozen meat in with other ingredients and cook as indicated. This gets dinner on the table even quicker. 1 lb. ground beef 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 1 cup water 1 cup elbow macaroni, uncooked 1/2 cup (up to 1 cup) Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 (2 quart) casserole 1 Steamer/colander Place ground beef in the steamer/colander. Break into small pieces. Place into 2-quart casserole. Microwave 3 minutes on high. Stir. Microwave on High 3 more minutes. Remove all Gunk from casserole; rinse or wipe out. Dump cooked ground beef, sauce, uncooked macaroni, and water into casserole. Cover, close vent; microwave 7 minutes on High. Stir; microwave 6 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top; cover vent closed. Let stand 5 minutes. Serves 4 to 6. |
