BEEF AND SAUSAGE LOAF | |
1/2 c. chopped onion 2 tbsp. chopped green pepper 2 tbsp. butter 2 beaten eggs 1/3 c. tomato juice 1/2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 lb. Tennessee Pride Country Sausage Cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender, but not brown. Combine eggs with next 4 ingredients and cooked vegetables. Add beef and sausage; mix well. Pat mixture into 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and pour off excess fat. Let meat stand in pan several minutes before slicing. Makes 8 servings. |
