PECAN CRISPS | |
2 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 c. finely chopped pecans 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. vanilla Combine sugar, butter, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Add flour and baking soda. Beat at low speed until soft dough forms. Stir in pecans. Divide dough in half. Shape each half into a 2-inch log. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Cut into 1/4-inch slices. Bake at 350°F for 7 to 8 minutes. |
