APPLE CANOLA OATMEAL BARS 
FILLING:

2 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. canola
2 tbsp. water

CRUST:

2 c. flour
2 c. quick oats
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground coriander

Mix filling ingredients in a saucepan. Cook and stir until thick and apple is tender. Stir together flour, oats, cinnamon, coriander and brown sugar and baking soda. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

Firmly pat half of mixture into ungreased 9x13x2 inch pan. Spread apple filling on top, evenly. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Pat lightly. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars.
