APPLE WALNUT COBBLER 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. thinly sliced apples
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup walnuts. Place apples in bottom of greased 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine egg, milk and butter. Add dry ingredients mix. Pour dough over apples. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve with whipped topping.
