AUNT'S FRUIT COBBLER 
4 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. Crisco, cut in like pie crust
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
3/4 tsp. baking powder

FILLING:

2 cans fruit (any kind - or 1 can apple or 1 can cherry - half on one end half on other)

Mix first 5 ingredients. Add next 4 ingredients. Roll dough, half at a time, between sheets of waxed paper to fit cookie sheet. Line (ungreased) cookie sheet with fruit. Cover with layer of dough. Bake at 350 degrees, approximately 30 minutes.
