CHICKEN AND PEPPERS (CSIRKE
PAPRIKA)
 
1 frying chicken, 2-3 lbs.
8 slices bacon, cut in half
2 lg. green peppers
2 yellow Hungarian sweet peppers or 2 sweet red peppers
1 lg. onion
3 tbsp. paprika
1 qt. water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pt. sour cream

In a large pot fry bacon until some fat is rended out. Then add the chicken and paprika, being careful not to burn the paprika. Turn the chicken until it is all covered with the paprika. Slice the peppers and onion and add to chicken and then add the water and salt and pepper. Cook until everything is done.

When serving place noodles or dumplings on plate, then the chicken and be sure to put some peppers on and the top with a generous portion of sour cream.
