CHEESE BOURAG | |
1 lb. pkg. filo (tissue thin prepared dough) 1 lb. Muenster or Monterey Jack cheese, grated 1 lb. carton sm. curd cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese 4 eggs 1/2 c. parsley, chopped (more if preferred) 3 tbsp. milk Salt & pepper to taste Melted butter Paprika In bowl mix both cheeses, parsley, 2 eggs, salt and pepper. Take baking dish (preferred size about 2 inches deep) and butter. Unfold filo and place a sheet at a time in pan, brushing every other sheet with butter until you have used half. When half of package has been used, sprinkle cheese mixture on top with paprika. Do not bring fully to edge of pan. Proceed to add remaining half of filo on top of cheese mixture being sure to continue to butter every other sheet. Prior to placing in oven, beat 2 eggs and the milk and pour on top of the dough. Sprinkle with paprika. Place in 325 degree oven for about 45 minutes, or until top and bottom are golden brown. |
