WALNUT BARS 
STEP I:

1 c. flour
2 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter

Work above as for pie crust. Press into 9"x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

STEP II:

2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
Pinch salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. coconut

Mix all together, put on bottom layer while still hot. Bake 20 minutes but not too firm.

STEP III:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1/4 c. finely chopped walnuts

Let bars cool in pan and frost with Step III mixture. Sprinkle nuts on top.
