SWEET - SOUR SHELLIE BEANS | |
2 strips bacon, diced 1/3 c. chopped onion 1 (1 lb.) can shellie beans 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt Few grains pepper 2 tbsp. white vinegar Brown bacon until golden. Add onion and liquid drained from shellie beans. Cook liquid down to about 1/2 cupful. Add remaining ingredients; gently fold into beans. Heat to serving temperature. Yield: 4-6 servings. |
