SOFT RAISIN OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. raisins (cover with water & cook 10 minutes, cool & drain, save the juice)
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
7 tbsp. raisin juice
Raisins

Mix ingredients and drop on cookie sheet. Press flat. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. This recipe is around 100 years old.
