2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
2 level tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Drop on to cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees.
