OREGON HUCKLEBERRY SAUCE 
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. water
2 c. huckleberries, blackberries or raspberries
1/2 tbsp. butter

Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt in saucepan. Add water plus 1 cup huckleberries. Stir and cook until thickened. Take off stove and add the other 1 cup of berries and butter. Cool. Can be used as topping for ice cream and other desserts.
