AMISH SHOO-FLY CAKE 
4 c. flour
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. boiling water
1 c. molasses
1 tbsp. baking soda

Mix flour, shortening and brown sugar. Take out 1 cup crumbs to use on top; to the rest of the crumbs add boiling water, molasses and soda.

Mix well, then pour into greased cake or bundt pan. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top and bake at 350 degrees until done. (Approximately, 45 minutes).

Great served with whipped cream!

This is the best shoefly recipe. After spraying the glass dish put some molasses in squiggly lines before pouring the batter.
