4 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. Crisco or Spry
1/2 tsp. salt

Crumb together and set aside. Mix:

2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. barrel molasses or Turkey's table syrup

Mix 2 cups crumbs into hot syrup. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan and sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon when baked.
