LIGHT SHOO-FLY CAKE 
CRUMBS:

4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco

CAKE:

1 c. dark Karo syrup
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. hot water

Mix crumbs ingredients until crumbly and save 1 cup for top. Then mix together cake ingredients. Stir and add crumbs and mix well. (DO NOT beat out the lumps.) Top with remaining crumbs and bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees in 9x13 inch pan. DO NOT open oven the first 35 minutes.
