COCONUT CRUNCHIES 
A Crisp Cookie.

1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup corn flakes cereal
1/2 cup coconut flakes

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Cream margarine, sugars and vanilla. Add egg and mix until smooth. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together and add to first mixture. Blend in rolled oats, corn flakes and coconut.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet.

Bake at 325°F for 15 to 20 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen medium-sized cookies.
