GRANDMA'S FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. plus 3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 can fruit cocktail, including juice

Sift together sugar, flour, soda and salt. Mix in egg and fruit cocktail. Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased pan.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. ground nuts

Mix topping together and sprinkle over cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
