RED VELVET CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix
1 c. buttermilk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 oz. red food coloring
3 eggs
1 tbsp. vinegar

Grease and flour cake pans, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix and cocoa. Add vanilla, buttermilk, coloring, butter, and eggs. Blend until moist. Add soda and vinegar. Beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Bake 25 minutes or until done to touch. Frost with cream cheese frosting when cool.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat well and mix in nuts.
