RUTH'S PICKLED PINEAPPLE | |
1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple chunks or slices 3/4 c. vinegar 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar Pinch of salt 6 to 8 whole cloves 3 sticks 4 inch cinnamon Drain pineapple, placing syrup in saucepan, adding all ingredients except pineapple. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Add pineapple, bring to boil, remove from heat. Cool. Refrigerate in glass container. Good with poultry or as hors d'oeuvres. |
