Butterscotch Nuggets

This is an amazing cookie that has been around for years, I've made it for years, and my grandmother had the recipe from years ago and passed it down, then the recipe was lost for 5 years, and I finally found it this year, I only knew the name, and to be honest I have no idea why it's called "butterscotch". Always made at Christmas. We usually leave the optional walnut half out of the recipe, you can also use pecans for this entire recipe if you'd rather. The frosting has to be prepared and kept warm in a double boiler. The chocolate is just a square of unsweetened (bakers) chocolate. The cookies usually take more than 10 minutes, I usually press the middles for the 2nd time after about 7 minutes of cooking, then watch for them to just start turning golden brown. 12 - 14 minutes total.
