CREOLE CORN 
1 sm. chopped green pepper
1 lg. chopped onion
3 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 lb. ground meat
1 (#2) can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 beaten egg
2 c. milk
1/2 c. cornmeal
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings. Add ground meat and brown. Stir in corn, egg, milk, cornmeal, salt, and pepper. Bake in a two-quart casserole with 1/2 cup bread crumbs sprinkled on top and dotted with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.
