APFEL KUCHEN 
2 c. flour
2 egg yolks, mix with couple drops of milk (save whites)
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter

FILLING:

Apples, peeled, cored, sliced, and covered with sugar and cinnamon

TOPPING:

2 egg yolks, beat with 1 c. sugar (save whites)
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sour cream

Mix crust ingredients with hands on flat surface and press into 2 round 8 inch cake pans, greased. Pour apples into pans. Stiffly beat 4 egg whites in a separate bowl. Mix yolks, sugar, flour, and sour cream, then fold into whites. Pour on top of apples and cover completely. Bake 1 hour at 350-375 degrees or until topping is golden brown.
