APFEL KUCHEN 
Beat together 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Sift together 2 cups flour and 2 teaspoon baking powder. Break 1 egg into cup and add milk to make 1 cup. Combine dry ingredients, alternately, with milk mix, add to sugar and butter mix. Spread in two 7 x 11 greased pans. Put layer of sliced apples, about 5-6 cups, over each crust.

STREUSEL TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple layer and bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
