BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. ripe bananas
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, flour, soda and ripe bananas. Blend in nuts and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. This bread freezes well.
