15 MINUTE CUSTARD PIE | |
4 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 c. white sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. milk, scalded 1 (9") pie crust Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Mix sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla together until well blended, then stir in hot milk, mixing as milk is added. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 475 degrees for 5 minutes, then reduce to 425 degrees for 10 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. (My oven takes longer.) |
