CHATHAM ARTILLERY PUNCH 
2 liters rum
1 liter gin
1 liter rye
1 liter brandy
3 bottles rose wine
1/4 lb. gum powder tea (steeped overnight in cold water & strained)
2 c. maraschino cherries
1/2 lb. pineapple
2 1/2 c. light brown sugar
Juice of 9 lemons
Champagne

Mix all ingredients, except champagne, in large plastic trash can with lid. Cover and store in a cool place for a minimum of 2 months. Serve in punch bowl with large block of ice; add champagne to taste (1-2 bottles per punch bowl).

Note: Though smooth as glass, this is subtly lethal punch. Do not serve to children. Renders 4 gallons. Ten gallon version available upon request.
