MACARONI AND CHEESE 
1 (1/2 lb.) pkg. macaroni
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. flour or cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 c. sliced cheddar cheese

Break macaroni into 1 inch pieces and cook in large quantity of water until tender. Drain. Rinse with cold water and drain again. In saucepan, mix butter flour, salt, pepper, and milk. Place over boiling water; make white sauce. Add grated cheese and stir vigorously until cheese is melted. Add cooked macaroni. Mix. Turn into baking dish. Add sliced cheese on top and place in oven at 350 degrees until cheese melts on top. Brown if you like. Serve.
