BAKED ACORN SQUASH 
6 acorn squash
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. Amaretto

Halve squash lengthwise and scrape seeds and fibers from cavities. Put squash, cut sides down, in baking dish with water and bake approximately 45 minutes in 325 degree oven. Scoop out pulp and reserve 6 of the best shells. Mash pulp with remaining ingredients, beating mixture until smooth and pile into reserved shells. Heat and serve. 10 servings.
