CHEERIO NUGGETS 
6 c. Cheerios
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans or peanuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. Karo

Combine Cheerios, nuts and raisins in a greased bowl. Combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes while stirring. Remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Pour over Cheerio mixture and mix well. Place in a greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 15 minutes. Stir. Let cool for about 10 minutes then stir again. Let stand for 30 minutes then break into bite sized pieces.
