BURBANK BRUSHFIRE CHILI | |
2 tbsp. Wesson oil 1 lg. chopped onion 2 lbs. chili meat 1 tbsp. chopped garlic 1 tbsp. oregano 2 tbsp. comino 3 tbsp. chili powder (Gebhardts) 3 or 4 crushed Spanish red peppers 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper 2 1/2 tsp. salt 8 oz. can tomato sauce 4 tomato sauce cans of water Sear meat until gray. Add tomato sauce and water and other ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Then mix 2 tablespoons flour, 2 tablespoons cornmeal with warm water to a thin paste. Add and simmer 15-20 minutes more. |
