CAROLYN'S SPECIAL SPAGHETTI AND
MEAT SAUCE

1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 med. bell pepper, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 clove fresh garlic finely chopped
1 tbsp. sweet basil
3 bay leaves
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. hot dry mustard
4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tbsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 to 1 c. of water depending on how dry it is after adding liquids
1 can of tomato paste
1 can of tomato sauce
1 can of tomatoes
1 can of mushrooms or fresh if you prefer

If you have a black iron dutch oven, this is the best I have found to cook this in. Brown ground beef, dip off excess grease, add onions, bell pepper, celery, garlic. Let cook for a few minutes on medium heat. Next add all liquids, let cook for a few more minutes, then add all your dry and other ingredients. Put lid on and let simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Cook spaghetti and serve meat sauce on top, and enjoy.
