BARBECUED FLANK STEAK | |
2 tbsp. butter 1 clove garlic, minced 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 lbs. flank steak In medium saucepan melt butter. Add garlic; saute for 1 minute. Blend in tomato sauce, Worcestershire, lemon juice and salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool thoroughly. Place steak in a shallow pan. Pour half of the sauce over steak. Turn steak, so that both sides are covered with sauce. Cook and refrigerate 24 hours. Grill over hot charcoal or broil under a preheated hot broiler 4-5 minutes on each side or until steak is done as desired, brushing with sauce occasionally. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices. Serves 6. |
