1 c. sugar 3 eggs 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. finely chopped walnuts 3/4 c. salad oil 3 c. unsifted flour 1 tsp. anise seed Beat sugar, oil, and eggs until blended. Add flour, salt and anise, continue beating. Stir in walnuts. Divide in half and shape into two 12x3 loaves. Place on cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Bake 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until light brown. Remove and quickly cut into 1/2 inch slices. Return to oven 15 to 20 minutes, until toasted and browned. Turn occasionally during baking to insure even browning. |
