POTATO SOUP 
1 lg. onion
2 tbsp. butter
6 c. milk
1 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 c. dry instant potatoes

Chop onion, melt butter and cook onion until tender. Add milk, salt and heat to just boiling. Remove from heat, stir in potatoes.

This is pretty thick, thin to taste. Also can cook a couple of potatoes chopped into 1/2 inch or smaller pieces. Add to soup. Serves 6.
