FIRECRACKERS 
1 (5 1/2 oz.) can chow mein noodles
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 can whole almonds

Toss all ingredients in a large bowl until noodles are coated. Place in a shallow pan. Heat in a 250 degree oven for 40 minutes, stirring once. Yields about 3 cups.

For a variation: Add popcorn after baking is finished. The popcorn stretches the recipe to serve more and tones down the "fire".
