3 c. scalded milk (2 1/2 c. milk, 1/2 cup Half and Half) 6 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 4 lg. eggs, beaten to a froth (4 yolks; 2 eggs) Stir sugar and salt in scalded milk until dissolved. Slowly add to beaten eggs. Strain back to pan to remove egg strings. Pour into six custard cups and put in baking dish. Surround with 1 inch water. Bake at 325 degrees until set (45 minutes.) |
