CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD 
3 c. torn lettuce
1 1/2 c. chopped cooked chicken
1 (5 oz.) can chow mein noodles
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
1/2 c. julienne carrots
1/4 c. diagonally sliced green onions
1/4 c. chopped red cabbage

DRESSING:

3 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sesame oil

Whisk together dressing ingredients then set aside.

In large bowl combine remaining salad ingredients except chow mein noodles. Just before serving, toss salad with dressing and top with chow mein noodles. Serves 4 to 6.
