PINTO BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cooked rice
1 (15 oz.) can Pinto beans
1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

Brown beef, onion, green pepper and garlic. Blend in tomato sauce, chili powder and salt. In greased 2-quart casserole layer part of meat sauce, beans, half of cheese and remainder of meat sauce. Top with other half of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
