RABBIT WITH PUMPKIN 
3 rabbits, disjointed
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 c. diced pumpkin or cushaw
2 pkgs. frozen mixed vegetables

Cook the rabbits in a small amount of fat in a deep heavy skillet until brown. Add enough water to cover, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and allspice and bring to a boil. Simmer for 1 hour or until rabbits are tender.

Remove rabbits from bones and place in skillet. Add the pumpkin and mixed vegetables and simmer for 30 minutes longer or until vegetables are done. Yield 6 servings.
