1/3 c. minute tapioca
3 lg. tart apples, sliced very thin
2 1/2 c. hot water
Pinch of salt
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter

Combine in greased baking dish. Bake until apples are tender in moderate oven. Stir when first begins to bake. Serve with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
